About Anlo Senior High
The political upheavals which led to the devastating riots in Anloga in 1953 affected not only the social and economic lives of the people but also caused the transfer of the first secondary school in the Volta Region, The New Africa University College (NAFRICO) now Zion College, from Anloga to Vui near Keta. A group of Anloga citizens, in sympathy with the paramountcy and the abandoned students, quickly responded by establishing the Anlo High School at Anloga in August 1954. From a humble beginning, ANSECO has grown to become the fourth largest school in the Volta Region with a student population of 2,293 made up of 1,073 males and 1,220 females. Programmes run in the school are Agricultural, Science, Business, General Arts, General Science, and Vocational Studies. Currently, the school has 97 teaching staff and 62 non-teaching staff.
